New edition of Art Bulletin of Nationalmuseum available

The latest edition of the Art Bulletin of Nationalmuseum is now available. The academic journal in digital format is published annually in English by Nationalmuseum, free to read, download and share. This year’s edition, Volume 22, contains both scientific articles and information about the museum’s acquisitions during 2015.

The lavishly illustrated Art Bulletin is published in English and highlights significant new acquisitions, publishes academic articles that shed light on Nationalmuseum’s collections, and reports on the museum’s exhibition program. This year’s edition includes 14 articles about key acquisitions, two academic articles, two conservation reports, a shorter notice and an article based on the Tessin Lecture in 2015. There are also several articles about Nationalmuseum Design, the museum’s exhibition venue for design at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm.

Authors: Anders Bengtsson, Mario Bevilacqua, Susanne Eriksson, Micael Ernstell, Carina Fryklund, Margareta Gynning, Per Hedström, Linda Hinners, Eva-Lena Karlsson, Merit Laine, Ellinor Lindeborg Moberg, Magnus Olausson, Carl-Johan Olsson, Nicholas Penny, Maria Perers, Eva Qviberg and Emilia Ström.

The Art Bulletin is published in a digital format since 2014 and is freely available online. The move to digital format is part of Nationalmuseum’s drive to promote open access to academic information. The Art Bulletin can easily be downloaded from the Nationalmuseum website free of charge, either as an entire journal or as individual articles: http://www.nationalmuseum.se/sv/English-startpage/Collections/Research/Art-Bulletin/Art-Bulletin-Volume-22/

The Art Bulletin is published via Uppsala University’s DiVA portal, a publishing system for academic research and student theses, with a digital archive to store publications securely in the long term. The DiVA project is open to all universities/publicly funded research institutions and government agencies in Sweden and abroad. As well as the full text of the Art Bulletin of Nationalmuseum, DiVA contains a full catalogue of all Nationalmuseum print publications. Nationalmuseum has been part of DiVA since 2013.
