Just like in a mirror opens 4 October at Nationalmuseum Jamtli

The exhibition Just like in a mirror – portraits over five centuries presents men, women and children who lived in or served Sweden from the 16th century to the present day. Not all the subjects were born in the country, but they all contributed in various ways to its history or cultural life. Some of the artists and subjects have a connection with Jämtland.

Ideal and Reality – Nordic Nature opens 1 June at Nationalmuseum Jamtli

This summer, Nationalmuseum Jamtli presents Ideal and Reality – Nordic Nature, an exhibition showing how nature has been depicted in art and applied art through the ages. The exhibition features some 130 works, paintings, drawings, photographs and applied art, all drawn from Nationalmuseum’s collections.

Nordic turn-of-the-century art in exhibition at Nationalmuseum Jamtli

The exhibition From Dawn till Dusk – Nordic Art Around the Turn of the Century 1900 opens at Nationalmuseum Jamtli in Östersund on 28 May. Around 130 works will be displayed, including artists like Eugène Jansson, Eva Bonnier, Helmer Osslund, Carl Wilhelmson, Elsa Beskow, Anders Zorn and Bruno Liljefors.
